Ladder level 2 fall restraint height safety kit with fall arrest harness
Supplied by the height safety shop, this ladder level 2 safety kit is ideal for those who need to maintain 3 points of contact whilst working at height of a leaning ladder.
Kit content
1 x 2-point safety harness with front and rear D ring, available in small, large, and Extra large.
1 x Viper rope grab (fall Arrest) with screw lock karabiner, this allows the operative to maintain three points of contact when attached to a safety line.
1 x Restraint lanyard, generally known as a cows tail, which allows the operative to work in a restraint position at height, if used correctly as per training then this will reduce the fall factor to zero.
4 x Steel zinc plated screw eye fixings, drill a 10mm hole into the wall, insert a wall plug, then screw the screw eye into the wall plug. This will allow the operative to feed the 5mtr ratchet ladder tie through the eye of the anchor and fasten to the ladder as per training.
1 x Reusable 14mm ladder anchor, again this allows the operative to tie the ladder to the wall structure.
1 x webbing sling which is fed through the ladder stile or placed across the stiles of the ladder and double back over the ladder rungs.
1 x Rope lifeline x 10 mtr with screw lock karabiner, attach the rope to the top webbing sling and tie the rope centrally to the third rung from the bottom of the ladder.
2 x 5mtr tensioning straps, these can be used individually or as a pair. The purpose of the ladder tie is to ratchet the ladder to the wall anchor, thus reducing the risk of the ladder coming away from the bottom.
This equipment is intended to be used by persons trained in its co-application and use.
The ladder level two work at height ladder safety kit supplied by the height safety shop has been designed to achieve safe access from the ground, onto a leaning ladder up to gutter level.
This allows the operative to safely ascend and descend the ladder whilst maintaining 3 points of contact.
The ladder level two kit has been tried and tested and is now used in multiple industries throughout the UK that use ladders as their daily work activity and have a requirement to work safely when using a fall restraint system with a fall arrest harness at work.
